BLOG POST #3

I’m super excited to announce the publication of my second book, How We Traveled From Florida To Maine (And Back) During The Pandemic. It is a quick read but I feel the reader will find it interesting. I have broken down the different steps that my husband, David, and I took and what we did from the beginning to the end of our trip.

After losing my baby brother, Darren, to Muscular Dystrophy, and writing my first book about his life and our special bond, I donated a portion of the proceeds from the sales of that book to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Now, I plan to do the same with any book that I write and sell.   

More good news! I’m happy to announce the birth of my grandson earlier this year. Grandma is blessed with four beautiful grandchildren.

In May, we had visitors from Maine. Our youngest son and his family made a road trip to see us for the first time! It was also the first time we had all the family together since the grandchildren were born. I thoroughly enjoyed having all my children and their families together. Special times!!

Mom spends her days resting in her big comfy recliner with her caregiver right there in the room. She has a very special visitor planning to come see her soon. Hopefully the end of this month. He’s waiting for permission. Mom hasn’t seen him in a very long time and with her Alzheimer’s Disease, it will be interesting if his appearance triggers anything in her brain. In January, my older brother was released from prison after 37 years and my husband, David, and I picked him up. It was an emotional time then and this reunion with Mom will be an emotional scene too. His story is another book that I’m writing. That book will take a while to complete.
